At the Last Supper, on the night he was betrayed, our Savior instituted the Eucharistic sacrifice of his Body and Blood. This he did in order to perpetuate the sacrifice of the cross throughout the ages until he should come again, and so to entrust to his beloved Spouse, the Church, a memorial of his death and resurrection: a sacrament of love, a sign of unity, a bond of charity, a Paschal banquet 'in which Christ is consumed, the mind is filled with grace, and a pledge of future glory is given to us.

Bringing Your Child to Receive First Communion
The Holy Eucharist completes Christian initiation. Those who have been raised to the dignity of the royal priesthood by Baptism and configured more deeply to Christ by Confirmation participate with the whole community in the Lord's own sacrifice by means of the Eucharist.
Catechism of the Catholic Church 1322- Children need to be at least in the second grade to receive the sacrament of First Communion.
- First Communion classes meet on Sundays and are in addition to the regular Wednesday evening Faith Formation Classes.
- Children must be baptized to receive the sacrament of First Communion. You will need to present a copy of your child's baptismal certificate before they can receive First Communion.
- Children need to receive the sacrament of Reconciliation before they can receive the sacrament of Holy Communion

FIRST COMMUNION PREPARATION:- Parent and Student Meeting: Sunday, February 10, 2019 at 2:00 pm
- Classes will meet on Sunday Mornings (10-11 AM)
- Family Day: Sunday, April 28, 2019 (4-6 PM)
- Rehearsals:
11 am Mass - Friday, May 3, 2019 (6-8pm)- First Communion Celebration: Sunday, May 5, 2019
English Mass – 9 am
Spanish Mass – 11 am -
Holy Communion for the Sick & Homebound
Extraordinary Ministers of Holy Communion can bring the Eucharist to those who are homebound, sick, or unable to attend Mass.
